about

Kolektif Istanbul grew up from the meeting of musicians from
villages playing at fetes and marriage ceremonies in the
"homeland", and musicians with improvisation backgrounds
from different modern styles but all in Istanbul with the colors
of Istanbul. A typical Kolektif Istanbul concert spans every
genre, from Turkish belly dances, or, highly danceable folkloric
numbers, to Western alternative rock. Their influences range
from Bulgarian clarinetist Ivo Papazov and accordionist Peter
Ralchev to Snarky Puppy and Farmers’ Market. The Ensemble
gains in intensity with Asli Dogan, the voice of this project,
which carries all the expressiveness and sensitivity of the
popular song.

Trikont Munich, Germany

In 1971 Trikont added a record label to its operations, documenting outsider music from around the world. Trikont’s motto “our own voice” reflects this ideal. ... more
